Guardia Civil Traffic Police Force in Madrid recently detained a driver intercepted at a speed of 297 km/h. A Spanish-registered Porsche 911 was intercepted in Highway R4 at a speed of 297 Km/h. When the car was stopped and the driver identified, it was found out that the 36 years old Spanish National male suffered a disability which prohibited him from driving any vehicle at a speed exceeding 100 km/h.
In addition, officers realised that his driving licence was withdrawn because of penalty points, and that the car didn’t have a valid insurance.
The driver was detained and charged with offences against traffic safety.
