Spanish police intercept school bus driver 'drinking alcohol'

07/03/2018. Guardia Civil Traffic Police in Murcia intercepted a bus driver when transporting 54 students, with a level of alcohol almost two times above the legal level permitted. In highway RM-15, Traffic Police Officers intercepted a bus driver when driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and transporting 54 passengers on board. In this case, Public involvement was crucial because citizens who observed how the driver was drinking alcohol few minutes before to start driving the bus alerted Guardia Civil Operations Centre. The school driver showed a final positive result of 0’25 mg/l, almost two times above the legal level permitted for this type of vehicles in Spain (0’15 mg/l).
