Spanish crackdown on impaired truck drivers

Guardia Civil Traffic Police in Murcia intercepted three professional drivers under the influence of drugs & alcohol. From the 26th February to 4th of March 2018, and within the framework of the “TISPOL Truck & Bus Operation” & the Traffic General Directorate (DGT) of Spain “Control of travellers & Goods Transports Operation”, Traffic Police in Murcia performed several road checkpoints along the Province.
Two professional drivers were detained for being involved in different accidents, when it was detected that both were driving under the influence of alcohol, with levels of alcohol in breath of 0’70 & 0’97 mg/l.
Besides, a third driver was fined for driving under the influence of alcohol & drugs (cocaine & cannabis).
