TISPOL Operation Speed and Speedmarathon
Unadjusted and excessive speed is still one of the most common causes of accidents.
Many drivers are unaware that speed also plays a crucial role in the severity of accidents that have a different cause.
Still far too many drivers in road traffic behave more than recklessly if they do not comply the prescribed speeds.
Exceeding of speed of more than 30 km / h are not uncommon in urban areas, often even more than 50 km / h on motorways.
Therefore, on the 3rd of April 2019, the paneuropean Operation "Speed Marathon" takes place, which is part of the TISPOL Control Week "Speed".
This action, organized by TISPOL will take place from 1st to 7th April 2019 in 30 European countries.
