TISPOL is sad to announce the death of André Roth
Published Fri, 09/08/2019 - 10:39
The TISPOL President, members of the Executive Committee and Secretariat wish to express their condolences to the family of André Roth, who between 2011 and 2017 was an enthusiastic member of the TISPOL Operational Group and the Technology Working Group.
André's job was as a member of the Basel City traffic police in Switzerland, where he had worked for many years. Away from his work, André was passionate about travelling... and he loved trains and model railways.
We send our condolences to Andrea his wife, and to all his family members at this very sad time.
André Roth died on 8 August 2019, aged 54.
Messages from André's TISPOL colleagues and friends
With you we lose a happy man, a committed, competent and extremely valuable colleague. We miss you very much.
Hauptmann Rolf Thommen & Kommissär Albin Hugentobler, Chief and Dep. Chief of traffic police Basel-City
I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of André. He highly supported me during my past presidency and was a good contributor to TISPOL and roads policing.
I have warm memories of André who was always joyful, very friendly, laughing and a real sportsman! We ran a couple of times together and even during sports he was always good for a story or a laugh.
André, we will miss you. You were a great colleague with your heart in the right place.
Chief Commissioner, Director Belgian Federal Highway Police (DAH)
Rest In Peace, Andre!
I'll always remember you as a lovely colleague, a great police partner and a good friend!
