Croatia: police action against poor driving

Police officers at Koprivnica-Križevci, Croatia, on January 21, 2020, from 11am to 4pm, conducted action aimed at improper driving actions such as improper turning and not giving turning signals, improper overtaking of other vehicles, improper reversing, improper parking, etc.
During the action, police officers controlled 74 drivers and sanctioned 50 traffic violations altogether.
They sanctioned 26 targeted traffic violations, of which:
- 12 non-uses of turn signals,
- 7 non-compliances of traffic sings regulating the intersection traffic,
- 3 improper turnings,
- 2 violations of driving on the wrong side of the street,
- 1 violation of driving in the prohibited direction and
- 1 improper parking.
In addition to the aforementioned violations, police officers also sanctioned 5 improper uses of mobile phones, 4 violations of driving under the influence of alcohol, 3 non-uses of a seat belt and 1 violation of driving under suspension.
